Hop
Drop is a 29% alcohol hop liqueur from the “Fermentorium Distilling”
arm of Phillips Brewing & Malting Co. in Victoria, BC. This “humulus lupulus”
elixir is hazy white, with a funky floral scent. The flavour is sweet
initially, with a bitter back.
For a liqueur made of
hops, this stuff wasn’t all that bitter, with sweetness and floral notes
driving the action. Not exactly agreeable, but certainly interesting,
Hop Drop
was some weird stuff I’m glad to have tried. It was well-priced and interesting, if not exactly tasty.
